Hot Rolled Steel Coils
Hot rolled coil, also known as hot coil, is a type of steel product, mainly used in the iron and steel industry. It is produced by heating and rolling steel ingots or slabs to a semi-finished product with a thickness suitable for future processing.
The production of hot rolled coil involves a series of complex steps, first, the raw material, which is usually a steel ingot or slab is heated to a high temperature in a furnace, then it is passed through a series of roughing mills and finishing mills to achieve the desired shape and thickness, the steel is then cooled and coiled into a coil for further processing or shipment.
Hot rolled coil is typically characterized by a more uniform structure, improved mechanical properties, a smoother surface and lower price compared to other steel products.
It also has good form-ability and weld ability making it suitable for a wide range of applications, such as construction, automotive, machinery, and other industrial sectors.
